Membership
Joining up is a fairly simple process.
First, review the club By-Laws.
After reviewing the By-Laws, download
an application form, print it out and fill it in. You can then
either come along to the next monthly meeting or mail it in
with your cheque or money order.
We also need you to fill in a "Fact
Sheet" about you and your car. The information on this
sheet may be used in the Member's Profile section of the club
newsletter.

Name changed to monaro car club of nsw inc 2001
All members are subject to “model rules for incorporated
associations” booklet from nsw dept of fair trading, including
the club by-laws. All rules are subject to the committee.
- Meetings and runs
Meetings are held 1st sunday each month , excluding january.
Runs are usually on the 3rd sunday of each month, excluding
january unless otherwise notified.
- Financial year is between 1st february to 31st january.
- Membership must be renewed by march meeting each
year if you wish to vote or stand for a position at the agm.
If not renewed by april all correspondence will cease.
- A family membership covers partners living under
the same roof (i.e. Spouse, de-facto, sibling) and all children
up to the age of 17 years.
- Associate members may wear club t-shirts , vote on
club cars at the end of the year and hold a committee position,
but cannot vote at meeting nor enter their cars in club
displays.
- New memberships after october 1st of each year will
carry through to the following year.
- Renewal forms must be filled out at the beginning
of every year, and a copy of the club rules will be given
to every financial member
.
- Clarification of cars in the club all model monaros,
hsv gto & gts couped, hx-le, hq ss belmont and hz gts
.
- Annual general meeting (agm) – committee voting
W ritten nominations for committee positions are accepted
up to two weeks prior to the march meeting. Nominations are
also accepted on the night of the agm. Nominations are accepted
from november of the previous year.
- Committee positions: president, vice president, secretary,
treasurer, editor, public officer, club registrar, raffle
coordinator, run coordinator, show coordinator, special events
coordinator, web administrator and at least 3 club members
who do not hold a committee position, to attend the committee
meetings on behalf of the members.
- Dress code: as per standard of venue.
- Point system: points are tallied each year for members
attending and participating within the club. Trophies are
awarded at the end of year celebrations.
- Ten and twenty year membership: records of continuous
membership are kept and badges are awarded for these achievements.
- Club judging day: all members must have attended
at least three outings in that year with their car to be eligible
for the november judging. Each car owned by a member must
adhere to the previous points.
- Country members: the above rule does not apply. Country
cars are also judged on november judging day.
- Borders for country members: north of gosford (not
including gosford), south of wollongong (not including wollongong),
west of katoomba (not including katoomba).
- Club registration scheme:
1. The car must be a monaro.
2. Club registrar is to decide on eligibility.
3. All registrations are due in march of each year.
4. Committee is to have final say.
- Paperwork is open for inspection at any time to financial
members only.
- Road rules: all members must abide by all road rules
set out by each state.
- Members’ conduct: all members must conduct
themselves in a manner which will not bring the club into
disrepute.
- Constitution changes: these may be altered after
one month’s written notice to all members and a majority
vote of members attending this meeting.
- “Club Events” (as notified in the newsletter
from time to time) are those events where the participation
of our members has full endorsement of the club. The club
maintains a public liability insurance policy, which covers
members participating in such club sanctioned events.
- “Non-Club Events” are notified in the
newsletter from time to time for member’s information
only. Participation in these events is not endorsed by the
club and is not covered by the club’s public liability
insurance. Members who participate in such events should make
their own arrangements in this regard.
- The club accepts no responsibility for loss or damage
to members cars or contents at any event. Members must make
their own insurance arrangements.
- Signing of attendance sheets: all club memebers are
required to fully complete the attendance sheet at all club
sanctioned events. Members must indicate the car that was
present, whether they wore club shirt, and sign the entry.
Accurate completion is required for insurance purposes and
to ensure that the member is awarded the correct points for
attendance.
