Hi All.

This months run will be a good one, we are all off to Thirlmere. 
                                                                   
Rob from the GT Ford Car Club has invited The Monaro Club to join them on the 12th February for a breakfast run to the Panorama House, Wollongong, breakfast is a buffet cost per adult is $12 and $6 for children, then on to Thirlmere beach for a game of cricket and a swim! Rob has informed us that after such a "big" breakfast we may not need lunch but 
 members can bring a light picnic lunch, drinks or nibbles to eat at the beach, there is a kiosk at the beach if you don't want to bring anything.
 
We will be meeting with the GT Ford Car Club at Uncle Leo's at 7.30am for a 8am sharp departure, even if it's raining this run will be on, so if you don't want to bring your Monaro come and join us in your daily driver this will be a great run. Members family and friends are welcome to join us.

We are having a Drive in Night on the 21st Jan. I don't know what will be on, as it is school holidays there will be something for the family. We  are planning on meeting at the Prospect Hotel at 6pm for dinner and to check out this venue for the meetings. the gates of drive in open at 7.30movie at 8pm I think.
Bring your deck chairs and possibly a blanket, we need one last year, although the year before the heat was nearly unbearable at 10pm.
No need to get back to me, just turn up in the Monaro or your daily drivers if you would prefer.

Our club run for this month will be to the Scarborough Hotel Scarborough for lunch. Meeting at McDonalds Liverpool Mega Centre on the Cumberland Highway at 9:30 am for a sharp 10.am departure, we will head south along Heathcoat Rd onto the Princess Highway, then onto Lawrence Hargraves Drive via Stanwell Tops taking the scenic Sea Cliff Bridge onto the Scarborough Hotel, there is a excellent selection of food ,        a great outdoor eating area and wonderful views over the ocean. After lunch, depending on the day, you can travel south to the surf beaches and have a swim or north for a scenic drive through the National Park, or head on home.

This months run will be held on Saturday the 16 July,with the weather
 being a little cooler and the All Holden Day fast approaching our members are
 busy preparing their cars. So time to relax and have a night out.
Our destination will be the Windsor Ten Pin Bowling Alley, 102 Ham Street, South Windsor.

Our run this month is on the 4th Sunday of the month, NOT the 3rd Sunday as usual. We have changed the date to coincide with the Rattle n Hum Car Show.

Its held at Castle Hill RSL, 77 Castle street, Castle Hill.

The Club’s car park will be filled with over 250 different cars, all in an effort to help raise much needed funds for Tallowood Special Needs School at Kellyville..

The show will be the perfect day out. Not only will there be heaps of different cars to view but there will also be raffles and great food.
Also plenty of children’s entertainment, face painting and access to the gymnasium for the kids,and all that for a gold coin donation. 
We as a club went to this show last year and helped raise over $8,000 for the school. (This money was used to buy an interactive "SmartBoard" for the kids.)

Hopefully we will raise enough this year to buy them another one.

Its a  great day out  and a chance to show off your Monaro against Ford GT's, Chevs, Mustangs, etc, as well as to raise  funds for a worthy cause. The  entry is $20 which includes breakfast, tea and coffee & a goodie bag.

(Goodie Bag for the first 200 cars)

There will be a trophy for best club display, as well as peer judged trophies.

 The show is open to the public from 9am  till 3pm.

The carpark will be open to entrants from 6am, complimentary breakfast will be served until 9am.

Please note: If you want to park with us in our club display(rather than get sent to park with all the randoms) lol

May Club Run Sunday 22nd May
Our Club run for May will be to the Walder Park Picnic area (near the dam wall) at Prospect Reservoir, Prospect. As this is a local run ( for some members) all club members can meet at the picnic area from 10.00-10.30am. The club will be providing a sausages sizzle, so members are advised to bring any extra food & drinks they may need on the day. This area has a BBQ, children's play area and good parking for members cars.
Entrance to Prospect Reservoir is on Reservoir Road, second street on left west bound from Prospect Highway Roundabout.
All club members and guests are welcome. Entry is fee

Your car does'nt need to be show quality as they prefer cars that are driven and enjoyed. This magazine has already featured Bob Walkers HK.  Hi all,
The next club run will be on the 17th April to Tarana (just west of the Blue Mountains). This is a run that the club has done before and all of our members have enjoyed it. We will be meeting at M4 Eastern Creek Westbound MacDonalds at 9am for a 9:30am sharp departure. Travelling west along the M4 then continuing along the Great Western Highway through the Blue Mountains. We will be stopping at the Shell Garage just south of Lithgow to re-group, then onto Tarana where the local Pub supplies excellent food, open fire and has a great atmosphere. We would advise members to bring warm clothing!
We welcome all club members, regardless if they can bring their Monaro or not, to join us on our runs.

This run will be a combined run, The Burt Bruyn Memorial Run with the Vauxhall Car Club & our own Memorial Run.

The day will start with a meeting point at  Macca’s Penrith Panther’s at 10.30am for the drive along Mulgoa Rd to Mulgoa, turning left at Littlefield’s Rd then right at Garden Hill Rd, “Glendora” sign on the gate! Park in the front yard, plenty of space.

The Monaro Car Club will supply salad, coffee & cake, please bring your own meat for the BBQ. I’ll supply all plates- cutlery- napkins . Don’t forget to bring your drinks.

Looking forward to seeing as many members as possible as this is a very important day in our year. If it’s a warm day, swimming is available.

Hi all. Our Feb Run will be to Kiama, which is always a great day out.

We will be meeting at Uncle Leos garage, Casula at 9 am for a 9.15 am leave.

Bring swimmers etc and a picnic lunch if you like. Dont forget chairs and sunblock. Theres a nice park just near the water so we will have a great relaxing day.

Good old fashioned hospitality in the historic colonial village of Wollombi.

Gateway to Australia's famous Hunter Valley Wine Country

and, more importantly, the home of the infamous Dr. Jurd's Jungle Juice.

The Laguna Markets will also be on that day, at Laguna 8kms south of Wollombi.

Local produce, veggies free range eggs, olives and lavender products plants,

second hand items, gifts, Landcare information and much, much more!

From Sydney via Newcastle Expressway:

Head for the Newcastle Freeway, National Route 1, which starts at Wahroonga in Sydney's

northern suburbs. Travel on the Freeway to the Calga Interchange where you take the exit

to Wollombi. At Bucketty you will travel along sections of the famous

which was constructed by convict gangs in the early days of European Settlement.

The road crosses a number of convict built bridges and culverts, a reminder of the days

when a trip to the Wollombi was a long and arduous journey.
